Key clinical point: Adolescents who are underweight or obese are at an increased risk for migraine, with the risk being more pronounced in case of women.
Major finding: Adolescent women who were underweight or obese had 12% (adjusted odds ratio [aOR] 1.12; 95% CI 1.05-1.19) and 38% (aOR 1.38; 95% CI 1.31-1.46) higher risks for migraine, respectively, than women with low-normal body mass index (BMI) values.
